After breaking AlanShearer's record for most goals in a calender year, Harry Kane will look to continue his red hot form when Tottenham travel to the Liberty stadium to take on Swansea City.
Swansea City are rock bottom of the Premier League but the Swans gave themselves a lifeline on Saturday when they turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win in the last five minutes of their game at Watford. That was just Swansea's second win in their last fourteen games. Swanse are 1-1-3 in their last five overall. With a new manager in the form of Carlos Carvalhal who was appointed just four day after being sacked by Sheffield Wednesday there is achance that Swansea get a bit ofa boost here and the players with a fresh manager and a different approach may just be able to pull off a shock here. Tammy Abraham and Ayew will have to lead the line for the Swans with Wilfred Bony still struggling with a thigh injury. Swansea need more from their strikers but on Tuesday they face one of the most potent attacks in the Premier League so the chances that they get up front may be slim and will need to be taken.
Tottenham come into this game in sensational form. Tottenham are 4-0-1 intheir last five overall and have scored sixteen in their last five games. Harry Kane has been on fire, Kane has eight goals in those five games and the question is can anyone stop him. Tottenham have Deli Alli coming into form at the right time and with Christian Erikson pulling the strings in midfield this is a side that look to be starting to make a push for Champions League football. Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for more of the same from his side on Tuesday but this a congested fixture list and Tottenham play again on Thursday in a London derby against West Ham.
This is a fixture that Tottenham have dominated. Tottenham are 10-2-0 against Swansea City in their last 12 meetings. Both of the draws though have come at the Liberty Stadium if one was to try to make an argument for Swansea. Its tough to find much value in this one. I'm going to take both teams to score here, while Tottenham have beenexcellent going forward they have conceded in five of their last six away games in all competitions.
