Probably the best game of Saturday's fixture list in the Barclays Premier League will see a red hot Tottenham Hotspur team play host to Everton at Wembley Stadium.
Tottenham come into this game on a five game unbeaten streak. Over the Christmas period Spurs have gone 4-1-0 in their last five. Harry Kane has netted eight goals in that five game period. The Premier League's top scorer has been on fire again and tottenham have become reliant on the English striker's ability to finish a chance when it comes his way. Manuel Pochettino has alot of attacking talent at his disposal in Son, Alli, Erickson , the fit again Eric Lamela and the aforementioned Kane. This is a team that is playing well and are unbeaten at home in their last ten games. Tottenham will be expecting to win this game.
Everton come into this game in a bit of a mess. The Toffees have lost three on the bounce and new Manager Sam Allardyce will be feelling a little pressure to buy some players in the January window and to halt the current skid. Wayne Rooney, Dominic Calvert Lewin, Niasse and Bolasie are now all fit and Allardyce must find a way to fit Bolasie and Niasse into the side in my opinion. Both bring alot of pace and attacking power to the team , Rooney has had a great start to his return scoring ten goals already this season but he slows down the play and perhaps would be best suited to a role behind a main striker rather than being the focal point of a front three. Personally I think Everton need to get Bolasie into the side , he showed glimpses of the form that led to his £25million pound move from Crystal Palace and he could be the key man for Everton moving forward.
Tough to side with Everton here in this one, especially with how well Tottenham have been playing at home. I'm going to take Tottenham to lead at halftime in this one as I think Spurs come out with all guns blazing early.
