Manchester City were dominant in their first leg of their Champions League tie against FC Basel and they will look to finish the job at home this week as the two teams face off once again. Both teams will enter the game with different game plans but it should result in an interesting game of football.
Manchester City are one of the best teams in the world and they will hope that they can compete at the late stages of this competition. The Premier League is all but won for Manchester City and now all their focus will be placed on the Champions League. Manchester City enters this game with a four-goal advantage and this huge lead might just be enough for the manager to rest some of their key players. Either way, I am expecting Manchester City to play well and win this game.
FC Basel need to come out attacking and if they can score 2 goals quickly, they might have a chance. That being said, they are no match for Manchester City and even the most faithful Basel fan has given up on this game. I expect the away team to fight since they have pride to play for but that will not be enough since they are up against a very strong home side that will be desperate to win.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to predict that Manchester City will win this game. They are under no pressure and at home they can beat any side. We are not getting a very good price betting on the home side to win and due to that reason, we should avoid this bet. The best wager is the under 2.5 goals. I expect neither side to score many goals since Manchester City will not attack much. Due to this reason, the under 2.5 goals is my bet for this game.
