AFC Bournemouth and Manchester United meet Wednesday in Premier League soccer at Vitality Stadium.
AFC Bournemouth is coming off an 0-3 loss to Liverpool and is looking for its first win since beating West Brom a month ago. Things haven’t changed much for AFC Bournemouth, as it has an underrated offense that can pressure a defense, but things get ugly way too often on the other side of the field. AFC Bournemouth has allowed two or more goals in four of its last five matches and hasn’t produced a clean sheet since its January win over Chelsea. With its ability offensively, Bournemouth would be much better off if this team can find a way to improve defensively and limit scoring chances. Callum Wilson leads The Cherries with seven goals, Jordon Ibe has six assists and Junior Stanislas has 45 shots.

Manchester United is coming off a shutout loss to West Brom and needs points here to keep some distance from Liverpool. Manchester United continues to flex its muscle as one of the top defensive clubs in the league, which includes allowing one or less goals in six of its last eight matches and producing 16 clean sheets overall. Manchester United is allowing just 0.79 goals per match, however, The Red Devils have allowed a combined for goals in their last two road PL matches. Manchester United hasn’t lost back-to-back PL matches since March of 2016. Romelu Lukaku leads The Red Devils with 15 goals, Paul Pogba has nine assists and Marcus Rashford has 51 shots.
Manchester United has earned points in each of the last four meetings against AFC Bournemouth, which includes a 3-0-1 record during that span. The last time Bournemouth beat Man United was in December of 2015. The last meeting in December was a 1-0 win for Manchester United. Four of the last five meetings between these teams have produced at least two goals.
Manchester United usually bounces back in a big way after a loss, and they’ve pretty much owned Bournemouth in the past meetings, which includes three victories in the last four tries. The price here isn’t insane, so I’m going to back the road team to get the job done. Bournemouth just doesn’t have the balance to scare The Red Devils at this point in the season.
