Orlando City SC and Toronto FC meet Friday in MLS soccer action at BMO Field.

Orlando City SC enters this match with a 6-3-1 record and is 2-1-0 on the road this season. Orlando City SC watched its six-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday thanks to Atlanta, as this has been one of the more balanced teams in the league the last few weeks led by an offense that’s averaging two goals per game. Orlando City SC is 6-0-0 this season when scoring more than one goal and just 0-3-1 when scoring one or less goals. With a subpar defense, Orlando is at its best when pushing the pace and getting as many quality looks as possible on the offensive end. Dom Dwyer leads Orlando with six goals, Yoshimar Yotun has five assists and Justin Meram has 29 shots on goal.

Toronto FC vs. Orlando City SC - 5/18/18 MLS Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Toronto FC need a win here in order to snap a two-match skid, as they find themselves at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Toronto FC is averaging just 1.3 goals per match and has allowed two or more goals in six matches this season. There’s just no consistency with Toronto right now and the lack of offense has been key, as this club has been shutout three times this season already. The good news for Toronto FC is that all of its success has come at home, as its 2-2-1 in front of its home fans and 0-4-0 on the road this season. Sebastian Giovinco leads Toronto with two goals, Victor Vazquez has two assists and Ager Aketxe has six shots on goal.

Toronto FC is 3-1-1 against Orlando FC in the last five meetings, which includes victories in the last two meetings. Orlando’s only win over Toronto during that span was in June of 2016. Four of the last five meetings have produced at least three goals.

It’s tough to lay juice with a struggling Toronto club, but they’ve owned Orlando in past meetings and have played their best soccer by far at home. Orlando can also be taken advantage of defensively, so this is a game where the home team could find some needed offensive success.

I’ll side with the home team here.
