Valencia enters this match with an overall record of 21-7-9, a 12-3-3 record at home and a 9-4-6 record on the road. Valencia look to finish the season on a strong note as they’ve earned points in six of their last nine matches. One of the better defensive clubs in the league, Valencia has allowed just one goal in its last three matches combined and is coming off a 1-0 shutout over Girona in which it came away with three saves. Valencia has allowed one or less goals in 13 of its last 15 La Liga matches. Valencia is playing some quality soccer down the home stretch and has a chance to pad to its impressive home record one last time. Valencia vs. Deportivo La Coruna - 5/20/18 La Liga Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Deportivo La Coruna enters this match with an overall record of 6-11-20, a 4-6-9 record at home and a 2-5-11 record on the road. Deportivo La Coruna is playing some of its best soccer of the season, earning points in five of its last seven matches, and that doesn’t include giving an honest effort and scoring twice against Barcelona. Deportivo La Coruna doesn’t have much to play for after this failure of a season and being regulated to the Segunda Division, but you have to respect that the club is playing hard and finishing strong. Finding a way to get a victory on the road here would be a nice confidence booster for the Blues and Whites. Adrian leads with nine goals, Lucas Perez has seven goals and Andone has seven goals.

Deportivo La Coruna has won the last two meetings against Valencia, which includes a 2-1 win back in January. The other three of the five meetings resulted in 1-1 draws. Each of the last five meetings between these clubs have produced at least two goals.

Valencia has had its way with Deportivo La Coruna over the years, but there is a history of draws when these teams meet and the Blues and Whites are getting some of their more consistent results of the season. You have to like the value of a draw in this match. Deportivo La Coruna should be a confident club given its recent success while Valencia doesn’t have much to play for already clinching Champions League group stage.
