South Korea and Bolivia meet Thursday in International Friendly soccer action at Tivoli Neu.

South Korea plays its last friendly match before opening up the World Cup with a meeting against Sweden. South Korea could certainly be in better form with the tournament right around the corner, as this club has lost three of its last four matches, including a 3-1 loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The good news is South Korea is a consistent World Cup team and is no stranger to surprising the field and making a respectable run. There’s enough experience and scoring firepower to not completely write off the Taegeuk Warriors. However, recent results are not encouraging signs, and this is the same club that made the controversial decision to leave Lee Chung-Yong off the squad. I need to see a much more positive showing from South Korea in this match if this is going to be a team I’m looking to bet on in the tournament.

Bolivia vs. South Korea - 6/7/18 International Friendly Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Bolivia enters this match being shutout in its last two contests and hasn’t won a match since beating Chile in World Cup qualifying. Bolivia is coming off a 3-0 loss to the United States in which it controlled possession for just 38 percent of the match and completely fell apart in the second half, allowing two lazy goals. Bolivia has now been shutout in three of its last five matches and is a club that’s learning on the fly. There’s almost no experience on this current Bolivia squad, as Ronald Raldes, Carlos Lampe and Danny Bejarano are the only three guys with double-digit caps. It’s nice to give the younger guys chances to prove themselves and gain experience, but there’s going to be growing pains and ugly results in the process.

There’s no previous meetings between these two sides.

Bolivia is extremely wet behind the ears and has almost zero offensive firepower with these young kids. South Korea is an experienced team that should look to pace itself with the World Cup right around the corner, so you’re likely going to get a half effort from them as well. However, South Korea also needs a confidence boosting performance given its recent play. A veteran squad or not, you can’t get beat up by lesser teams and expect to flip a switch. South Korea needs to take care of business here.

Give me the Koreans in a victory.
