India and New Zealand meet Thursday in International Friendly soccer action at the Mumbai Football Arena.

India enters this match in pretty good form, as its outscored Chinese Taipei and Kenya by a combined 8-0 and has won seven of its last 10 matches overall. In its recent win over Kenya, Sunil Chhetri found the back of the net twice while Jeje Lalpekhlua scored an another goal for good measure. Sunil Chhetri took to Twitter after the victory to thank the fans for such support and claimed his club is ready to continue playing hard if it continues. India has proven to be a good offensive club as of late and has nine different players on its current squad with at least one international goal. Inside the top-100 in the FIFA ranking, India is enjoying some of its best success ever and has shown that there may be bigger things on the rise in the future for the Blue Tigers. This will be the last friendly match for India before playing in the SAFF Championship.

New Zealand vs. India - 6/7/18 International Friendly Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

New Zealand was in very shaky form before beating Chinese Taipei 1-0 on Tuesday in a friendly match. The All Whites were able to sit on an early goal from Myer Bevan to get their first win since beating Solomon Islands back in world cup qualification. While the offense has seally struggled for this club over the last several months, New Zealand has allowed one or less goals in three of its last five matches, so at least the defense is in decent form. Overall, New Zealand is an extremely young team that doesn’t have a single player with 20 caps on its current squad and its oldest player currently is Nikko Boxall at just 26 years old. Like many teams in these friendlies that don’t have much to play for, these are basically glorified tryouts to see who is fit to play key minutes when games actually matter down the road.

There’s no previous meetings between these two sides.

This is a quick turnaround for a New Zealand club that just played Tuesday and isn’t in great form overall despite a win over Chinese Taipei. India has been on fire recently and seems to be eager to build on this momentum as this is a club that wants to prove it belongs and deserves more respect. I’m kind of buying into the Blue Tigers hype.

Give me India to win this match.
