We have some MLS action from Orlando City Stadium on Saturday evening, as Orlando City hosts Montreal Impact.
Orlando City comes into this one in dire need of a win after losing their last six league matches, including a 3-0 loss to this same Montreal side just over a week ago. Orlando fell behind just five minutes in and conceded a 2nd goal to double the Impact’s advantage ten minutes after half time. Orlando City conceded a 3rd goal late into injury time while racking up a trio of yellow cards to Dom Dwyer, Cristian Higuita and Oriol Rosell.

Montreal will be looking to sweep the home and home set with Orlando City, winning two of their last three games with their win last week. Ignacio Piatti gave the Impact the lead in the 5th minute from the penalty spot and also added a 2nd goal to his tally with another marker late in 2nd half stoppage time.
In the last meeting, Orlando out possessed Montreal 57%-43%, with each side logging 11 shots, with the Impact owning a slight edge in shots on target with 4 to Orlando City’s 3.
Montreal have had the majority of the success over the last couple of years when these two teams meet, posting three wins and a draw in the last four meetings, including back-to-back victories following the win as previously mentioned.
Orlando is due for a win here and it’s probably easier to get one in front of their fans at home and maybe a coaching change will help as well. However, you could argue that Montreal is the worst team in the east, and that didn’t stop the impact from taking down Orlando last time out. I can’t bring myself to lay this kind of juice with a team that’s lost six straight league games, so I’ll take a double chance with Montreal and the draw as I see Orlando City remaining winless for a 7th straight outing.
