Brazil will take on Mexico in the round of 16 of this years FIFA World Cup. This is a game between two incredibly talented sides with the winner getting a spot in the final 8 of the competition. With emotions being high for both teams, we should be able to watch an incredible game of football.
Mexico had a scare against Sweden in the final game of the group stage and were lucky that Germany stuttered or they would have been out of the competition. This Mexican side is amazing going forward but they have big issues in the defensive side of the game. This might cause big problems against a team like Brazil. Brazil are one of the best sides going forward and I think a weak defense could spell disaster.

On the other side of the coin, Brazil will see this as a game that they should win. While the 2002 World Champions have not been at the top of their game, they have shown their talent and have managed to win games. I am expecting the big players like Neymar, Willian, and Gabriel Jesus to step up and impress for Brazil as the competition gets to the knockout stages. There is a chance that Marcelo will miss this game due to injury but that shouldn’t change much for a Brazilian side that is stacked with talent.
All in all, I see Brazil booking their spot at the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup. Looking at the odds, we are not getting a great price to wager on the outcome of so it is best to avoid that outright result market. The best bet is the over 2.5 goals. This should win since Brazil have what it takes to score 3 goals while Mexico can also score goals.
