Uruguay and France will face each other in the quarterfinals of 2018 FIFA World Cup. At this stage of the competition, games are tense and there is a lot of pressure on the players. This should set up a great viewing experience.
France enters this game having convincingly beaten Argentina in the round of 16. This side seems to be getting better every game with the likes of Mbappe and Pogba finding some form. France seems to be enjoying their football with the fans really getting behind the players and the manager. Defensively it will be important that France improve their game since they conceded 4 goals against Argentina and a similar defensive performance in this game could spell trouble.

On the other hand, Uruguay beat Portugal to make it to the final 8. The South Americans were impressive as the combination of Cavani and Suarez outdid the threat of Cristiano Ronaldo. That being said, it seems like Cavani is out injured and will miss that game. This is a massive blow for Uruguay and they have lost a major part of their attack. It will be important that Luis Suarez steps up in this game since he will need to make up for the absence of his strike partner. Defensively Uruguay looks very solid with the combination of Godin and Gimenez looking hard to beat. This will also need to continue for the South Americans as France have a very strong attack.
All in all, I am going to predict that France wins this game. With Cavani out, Uruguay don’t have enough talent to score goals against France. While it is unfortunate that an injury will end a campaign but this seems like the case.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting a great price to wager on France to win. The French are looking far too dominant to miss this betting opportunity. In addition to that, I am also a fan of the under 2.5 goals. This should be a tense game and I don’t see many goals being scored.
