We have some MLS action from Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening as the New England Revolution host the Seattle Sounders.

The New England Revolution come into this match unbeaten in their last six league matches, including a 3-2 win over DC United last time out. Cristian Penilla gave the Revs the lead in the 18th minute before DC equalized in the 43rd minute. Teal Bunbury didn’t let that last however, as he gave New England the lead once again on the stroke of halftime. DC tied it again from the penalty spot in the 73rd before the aforementioned Penilla gave the Revs the lead for good just 5 minutes later with a penalty of his own. The Revs were out possessed by DC 55%-45%, while outshooting DC 14-13 but were outshot 7-4 in regards to shots on goal. Bunbury leads New England with 10 goals this season while Penilla and Diego Fagundez are tied for the team lead with 5 assists this season.

New England Revolution vs. Seattle Sounders - 7/7/18 MLS Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Sounders will be looking to build some steam after snapping a three game winless drought with a 2-1 road win over Colorado in their last outing. Will Bruin gave Seattle the lead 19 minutes in before Colorado tied the game just five minutes before half time. It stayed that way until just before the hour mark before Bruin completed the brace with his second goal that would give the Sounders all three points. Seattle out possessed Colorado 56%-44%, and outshot the Rapids 12-10 but were outshot 5-2 in terms of shots on goal. Bruin leads the Sounders with 5 goals and 4 assists this season.

Head-to-head, the home side has dominated this matchup, going unbeaten in league play since 2011 and losing just twice since Seattle joined the league in 2009. The last meeting between these two sides ended in a 3-3 draw back in April 2017.

Seattle showing some signs of life on the road against Colorado was a nice change, but you need to do more than beat one of the bottom feeders in the West to give me some confidence going forward. New England has been in solid form as of late, getting points in four of their last five matches at home, and I think the Revs have been playing well enough to take all three points at home here.
