We have some MLS action from Red Bull Arena on Saturday as the New York Red Bulls host the New England Revolution.

The New York Red Bulls come into this match winners of three of their last four games following a 3-2 triumph over Sporting Kansas City in their last outing. Bradley Wright-Phillips gave New York the lead just 4 minutes into the match, but Johnny Russell made that lead evaporate just 4 minutes later by equalizing for Sporting KC. Roger Espinoza gave KC the lead in the 51st, but two goals seven minutes apart from Marc Rzatkowski in the 72nd and 79th minutes, gave the Red Bulls all three points at full time. Possession was split down the middle 50/50, with the Red Bulls owning a 17-12 advantage in terms of shots, and a 6-4 advantage in regards to shots on goal. Wright-Phillips leads the Red Bulls with 12 goals this season while Alejandro Romero Gamarra leads New York with 7 assists this season.

Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Revolution will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses following a midweek 2-1 loss to Minnesota United in their last outing. Christian Ramirez and Carlos Quintero gave Minnesota a 2-0 lead at the half, before Diego Fagundez cut the deficit in half from the penalty spot 7 minutes after the break. The Revs couldn’t find the equalizer however, leaving TCF Bank Stadium with no points to show for their hard work. The Revolution owned the possession battle 57%-43%, and outshot Minnesota 17-13, with each side logging 7 shots on goal. Teal Bunbury leads New England with 10 goals this season, while Fagundez and Cristian Penilla are tied for the team lead with 5 assists on the year.

Head-to-head, the home side has had the bulk of the success, winning 7 of the last 8 league meetings between the two sides.

As if the head-to-head trends didn’t lean towards New York, the Revolution come into this one on tired legs after just playing in Minnesota on Wednesday. The Red Bulls come into this one in much better form, and I think this one is a no-brainer, roll with the Red Bulls on Saturday.
