Tottenham will host Southampton in the English Premier League.
Southampton received a massive confidence boost over the weekend as the Saints managed to get a point against Manchester United. Southampton were very good going forward and they are being led extremely well by Stuart Armstrong who has been exceptional in front of goal. While the point against the Red Devils was vital for team morale, Southampton need to get more points as they are near the bottom of the ladder and in serious danger of getting relegated. The defence has been the biggest issue for Southampton which can be seen by the fact that this team has conceded 5 goals in their last 180 minutes of football.

On the other side of the coin, Tottenham also had a disappointing weekend as they were beaten by Arsenal in the North London derby. Tottenham attacked well with the likes of Harry Kane impacting the game but the defenders were poor as the Gunners scored 4 times against Hugo Lloris. The biggest loss for Tottenham’s defense will be Belgian superstar, Jans Vertonghen who received a red card against Arsenal meaning that he will miss this fixture. While there is enough talent in the squad to cover for Vertonghen, Tottenham will need to ensure they defend better than they did in their previous outing. Tottenham have played well at Wembley this season as they have beaten the likes of Chelsea and Inter Milan. With their home form looking solid, Tottenham will be confident heading into this fixture.
All in all, I am going to pick Tottenham to win this match. Tottenham have a much stronger team when compared to Southampton. Furthermore, Southampton’s defensive worries could be very costly against a dangerous attacking side like the Spurs. With this game being played at Wembley, I see Tottenham getting all 3 points at home.
