Liverpool -1.5 (-140) O/U 3.0
Liverpool (LLWLW) and AFC Bournemouth (DLLWL) will meet on Saturday, March 7th for an English Premier League matchup at Anfield. The match will be played at 7:30 AM Eastern time.
Liverpool is coming off a 2-0 loss to Chelsea in their last match in English FA Cup play. Liverpool has not played like themselves recently, losing three of their last four matches. This would not be too difficult if Liverpool had not been as successful in English Premier League play beforehand. Liverpool in 2019-20 has been one of the best teams in English Premier League history, but they need to figure it out before their legacy is washed away. Liverpool has not scored a goal in their last two matches, and their woes were magnified in a 3-0 loss to Wolves on February 29th, a loss that should have never happened. Liverpool will look to break their slump in the best place possible, in front of their home supporters.
Bournemouth is coming off a 2-2 draw to Chelsea at home in their last match on February 29th. Bournemouth is 1-1-2 in their last four English Premier League matches, which is not terrible for their standards. They are currently being haunted by the very real possibility of relegation, and this match will not make it easier especially when this Liverpool team is angry and motivated after poor play. Bournemouth's showing against Chelsea does show that they do have a shot on the road against Liverpool, but it will take all that they have left in the tank.
Liverpool has completely owned Bournemouth in the recent series of games that these two teams have played against each other. This includes a 3-0 victory on the road on December 7th, 2019. In the last five matches between these teams, Liverpool has outscored Bournemouth 17-0.
I think Liverpool will definitely win this match, as even though Bournemouth needs all the points they can get, Liverpool is not going to let them have much in this match, especially with built-up frustration of recent performance. I will take Liverpool -1.5 at -140, but also suggest Liverpool -2 at +125.
