Dinamo Minsk vs. Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino 4/3/20 Belarus Vysshaya League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction
4/3/20 12 pm
Over 2.5 (+140), Under 2.5 (-188)
Dinamo Minsk is welcoming Torpedo to Tractor Stadium in round 3 of the Belarus Vysshaya League.
Dinamo Minsk ended the last season in 4th place with 50 points and they were just one spot away from the Europa League. This season hasn’t started well for Minsk where they lost both of their Vysshaya League games while conceding 4 goals and scoring 2 goals. Yevgeni Shikavka and Ivan Bakhar have each scored 1 goal for Dinamo Minsk so far this season. In their last Vysshaya League match against FC Minsk on the road, Dinamo Minsk had 55% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, and 4 corner kicks, but they also conceded a red card in 59th minute. The first half was a disaster for Dinamo where they conceded 3 goals. The second half was much better, and if not for that red card, Dinamo Minsk might have just got a positive result. Dinamo Minsk has lost this match 3-2. Dinamo Minsk is a solid team and I believe they will end the season in the top five, but first, Dinamo Minsk must fix the problem at hand, and that is getting out of this massive slump they are in right now.
After 8 games without a win, Torpedo has now won both of their games in the new season and is in 4th place in the standings with 6 points. It’s not like Torpedo was a super dominant team in those two games, but a win is a win and it doesn’t matter what was the result in the end. Viktor Gorbachik and Gabriel Ramos de Penha have each scored 1 goal for Torpedo at the start of this season. In their last match against Belshina at home, Torpedo was the better team with 56% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, and 7 corner kicks. Torpedo has won this match 1-0. Torpedo has ended last season in high 6th place in the standings with 45 points and expect pretty much the same this season. It’s extremely hard for small teams in Belarus to qualify for one of the European Competitions next to the big three teams, Bate Borisov, Dinamo Brest, and Shakhtyor. There are no notable injuries in Torpedo at the moment. Torpedo is one of the four undefeated teams in Belarus this season which certainly gave them a huge confidence boost and seeing that big Bate Borisov is still without a win this season makes Torpedo even more confident.
Dinamo Minsk has lost their last home match against Torpedo and has lost their away match against Torpedo last season as well, without scoring a single goal I might add. Both of these teams have similar quality of the roster, but Torpedo is playing in a much better form. I’m aware that the slump Minsk is in must end, but I wouldn’t write Torpedo off just yet.
