Over 2.5 (-106), Under 2.5 (-118)
Slavia Mozyr is hosting Bate Borisov at Yunost Stadium in the first leg of semifinals in the Belarus Cup.
Slavia is playing well at the moment in Vysshaya League where they have 2 wins in a row and they are in 5th place in the standings with 6 points, 5 scored, and 5 conceded goals. In the first 3 games of the new season, Slavia has 1 loss and 2 wins, and they scored and conceded at least 1 goal in all three of those matches. In the Belarus Cup, Slavia has beaten FK Dnyapro Mogliev last month, 0-3 and 3-0. Slavia was quite dominant in that matchup and they deservedly advanced to the semifinals. In their last match in Vysshaya League against Dinamo Brest on the road, Slavia had 42% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, and 8 corner kicks. This was a really good game to watch with a lot of chances and goals. Slavia has won this game 1-2. Slavia is an average Belarus team that will most likely end up in the middle of the standings and not get qualified for the Europa League, which means that this Cup competition is their only shot of getting to the Europa League because the winner goes to the qualifications.
Bate Borisov is the best club in the history of Belarus, and the terrible start of the new season is not a reflection of the team’s real power. Bate has lost their first two games of the new season, something that didn’t happen to them in a long, long time. Before last season when Bate ended in a second place in the standings in Vysshaya League, Bate Borisov has won the title 12 times in a row I believe. In the Cup competition, Bate has knocked out Dinamo Minsk last month with two nice victories, 1-2 and 3-2. In the Vysshaya League, Bate was playing against Rukh at home last weekend and Bate was absolutely dominant with 52% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, and 6 corner kicks. Bate Borisov has won this game 1-0, but it could have been a lot more if Bate was a bit more focused. Bate Borisov also had 3 canceled goals in this match. This is Bate Borisov’s first win in the Vysshaya League this season which is a sign that their form is going up, and if Bate can string a few more wins together, they will be extremely hard to stop and could once again win the title.
Slavia has barely had any success against Bate Borisov, at home or on the road. Slavia hasn’t lost any of their last 5 home matches and has won their last 4 home matches in a row. It’s clear that Slavia is in a slightly better form here, but the quality is on Bate’s side. Instead of a winner, I will pick something on goals here.
