Neman Grodno vs. Belshina Bobruisk 4/10/20 Belarus Vysshaya League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Over 2.5 (+160), Under 2.5 (-211)
Neman Grodno is hosting Belshina Bobruisk at ZSK Neman in round 4 of the Belarus Vysshaya League.
Neman has been hot and cold in the preseason and the opening match of the new season, but they have been solid in their last 2 games in Vysshaya League. Neman is in 8th place in the standings with 4 points, 2 scored goals and only 1 conceded a goal. Kantaria and Kadimyan have each scored 1 goal for Neman so far this season. In their last Vysshaya League match against Shakhtyor on the road, Neman was solid with 49% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, and 5 corner kicks. Both Shakhtyor and Neman were playing much better on the defensive end than in the attacking part of the game and this match ended in a 0-0 draw. Neman is yet to win a game on the road this season, but they have been outstanding in their only game at home this season which they won 2-0. Last season went pretty much as expected for Neman, 10th place which was their maximum. It’s still early in the season, but I expect pretty much the same result from Neman this season, somewhere in the middle of the standings. With the exceptions of a few good players, Neman just doesn’t have the quality and the difference between Neman and the top three teams in Belarus is just too big. Of course, the season is long, and anything is possible, but I don’t like Neman’s chances of getting to the spot that will take them to the Europa League.
Belshina is in a terrible form and they lost 5 games in a row and are without a win for the last 6 games. Belshina is in the last place in the standings, still without a point. Neither offense or defense is working for Belshina right now and they scored only 1 goal in 3 games while conceding 5 goals. Belshina is the newcomer to the Vysshaya League after they won the title in Belarus’ second division, and judging by the start of the season, Belshina won’t stay in Vysshaya League for long. In their last Vysshaya League match against Gorodeya at home last weekend, Belshina was a slightly better team with 53% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, and 7 corner kicks, but all of their struggles surfaced once again and Belshina has lost this match 0-1. The only goal that Belshina scored so far was scored by Leonid Kovel. I’m sure no one in Belshina expected them to be in the top five in their first season in Vysshaya League, but I’m sure they expected it to go better than it does. To be honest, the competition in Vysshaya League is not that strong, except for the top three or four teams, which means that Belshina still has good chances of staying in the league, but for that to happen, a lot has to change and improve in this team.
Head to Head, Neman had a lot more success against Belshina, and I think it will stay that way. Belshina is in a terrible form and there is no way I could back them here. The odds on Neman at home are too good to pass up here.
