Over 2.5 (+115), Under 2.5 (-150)
Slavia Mozyr is hosting Rukh Brest FC at Yunost Stadium in round 4 of the Belarus Vysshaya League.
After a loss in the opening match of the season on the road, Slavia has strung together 3 nice wins where they scored 5 goals and conceded 3 goals. The last won came in the Belarus Cup against Bate Borisov at home, but the job is not yet done because there is a second leg happening at the end of the month, and Slavia’s 1-0 advantage might not be enough. With 6 points, 5 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals, Slavia is in 7th place in the Vysshaya League standings. In their last match in Vysshaya League against Dinamo Brest on the road, Slavia had 42% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, and 8 corner kicks. Slavia was the underdog in this match, and they were mostly defending but they were still able to score 2 goals and surprisingly win this match 1-2. With the total of 5 scored goals in 3 games, Slavia is one of the best offensive teams in the league for now, but their defense hasn’t been good and that is something Slavia must improve fast if they want to stay competitive and knock out Bate Borisov from the Belarus Cup.
Rukh has had an outstanding preseason and the first game of the new season, but they lost their last two games in Vysshaya League. Rukh has scored only 1 goal so far in the season while they conceded 2 goals in 3 games. The only goal for Rukh was scored by Kovtun in their first game of the season. Rukh is in 13th place in the standings with 3 points and they will need to improve in every aspect of the game if they want to stay in the Vysshaya League after being promoted this season. In their most recent game in the Vysshaya League against Bate Borisov, Rukh was the weaker team with 48% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, and 4 corner kicks. Rukh has lost this match 1-0 which isn’t that bad considering Bate Borisov had a lot more chances to score a goal, in fact, 3 if their goals were canceled. Rukh got promoted to Vysshaya League after beating FK Dnyapro Mogilev in the promotion/relegation playoffs. To be honest, I don’t think Rukh has the quality and will not be able to get consistent enough to stay in Belarus’ top division next season as well.
Slavia and Rukh have never played against each other in the past, but Slavia is the better team here, a team that is on a winning streak, and a team that is scoring more goals. I’m sticking with Slavia who will look to continue their great streak and stay close to the top of the Vysshaya League.
