Over 2.5 (+160), Under 2.5 (-211)
FC Smolevichi is welcoming Dinamo Minsk to Ozyorny Stadium in round 6 of the Belarus Vysshaya League.
Smolevichi hasn’t won any of their last 5 games and is in 15th place in the standings with only 3 points from 5 games. Smolevichi had solid preseason but they still haven’t won a game in Vysshaya League this season. In their last match in the Vysshaya League against Belshina on the road, Smolevichi played well and had 55% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, and 3 corner kicks. It was a tough game for both teams, and we haven’t seen any goals until the 80th minute when Belshina scored from a penalty kick. Just when the game was coming to the end, Smolevichi scored a tying goal from another penalty kick and this game ended in a 1-1 draw. Mukhamedov and Barsukov have each scored 1 goal for Smolevichi, and those are the only two goals Smolevichi scored so far this season. Even though their defense has been decent so far, Smolevichi doesn’t have the quality to compete with most of the teams in the Vysshaya League and they will spend most of the season in the relegation zone fighting to stay in the league.
Dinamo Minsk is having a tough time stringing wins together this season. Dinamo has only 2 wins in 5 games in the Vysshaya League this season and they are in 12th place in the standings with 6 points, 6 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals. Minsk does have the quality to compete for one of the top three spots, but unless they fix their defense, that is not going to happen anytime soon. In their latest Vysshaya League match against Neman at home, Dinamo Minsk had 55% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, and 8 corner kicks. Dinamo was the better team here and has deservedly won this game 2-0. Consistency has been the biggest problem for Dinamo Minsk this season, on both ends. Dinamo has scored a goal in 3 of their 5 games, while they conceded at least one goal in also 3 of their 5 games this season. I don’t think that Dinamo Minsk can end this season in one of the top three spots because I don’t see them getting out of this slump fast enough, although a victory in this match against one of the worst teams in the Vysshaya League would go a long way.
Smolevichi and Dinamo Minsk have played 4 times against each other in the past with Dinamo Minsk winning all four of those games. This is a matchup between two of the teams in bad form and for that reason, I will go with the team with more quality. I think Dinamo Minsk gets a precious victory on the road here.
