Over 2.5 (-138), Under 2.5 (+110)
Bologna is welcoming Juventus to Renato Dall’Ara in part of round 27 in the Italian Serie A.
Bologna is solid this season, especially in the attacking part where they scored 38 goals in 26 games. Their defense hasn’t been doing as well and Bologna conceded 42 goals. Bologna hasn’t won any of their last 3 Serie A games before the break, but they are still only 5 points away from the Europa League. Bologna is in 10th place in the standings with 34 points. There is plenty to be excited about in this Bologna team, but the only thing they could use more of is the consistency. Orsolini is the leading goal scorer for Bologna with 7 goals and 4 assists, while Palacio added 6 goals. Olsen is the only injured player for Bologna, while Santander, Bani, and Schouten are suspended because of the yellow cards. In their last Serie A game against Lazio on the road, Bologna has had 55% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 86% of the correct passes. It would be hard to defend against Lazio who is one of the best teams in Serie A to anyone, especially to Bologna whose defense is not good enough. Bologna has lost this game 2-0. I’m sure that Bologna will stay in Serie A, but they don’t have enough quality to get to the Europa League spot. This 10th place is Bologna’s maximum.
Despite having some of the best strikers in the world in the roster, Juventus is struggling massively with creating chances and scoring goals, but I think the problem lies within their coach Sarri. Don’t get me wrong, Sarri is a good coach but his teams are not known to play attractive and offensively oriented soccer, and Juventus is no exception. Earlier last week, Juventus was playing in the Coppa Italia finals against Napoli and has lost in the Penalty shootout. It was a terrible game overall, but even worse for Juventus who didn’t show absolutely anything and I’m glad they lost. In Serie A, Juventus is in the first place with 63 points, but Lazio is just a point behind them. Juventus has scored 50 goals this season while conceding only 24 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 21 goals for Juventus this season and is one of the best goal scorers of Serie A, but when he isn’t playing well, neither does Juventus. Dybala has scored 7 goals, while Bentacur added 6 goals. Demiral, Higuain, Chiellini, and Khedira are all injured and will most likely not be playing in this game. Of their two games they played since the restart, Juventus hasn’t won either and they are still waiting on their first scored goal. This game against Bologna is an extremely important one for Juventus because if they don’t win, Lazio might take over the top of the Serie A.
Bologna hasn’t won any of their last 8 games against Juventus. It’s clear that Juventus is the better team with more depth, but Bologna has been known to surprise the big teams if Serie A. Taking everything into consideration, I think it’s time for Juventus to score a goal or two in this match, and I think they will finally win a game.
