Energetik-BGU Minsk is welcoming Slavia Mozyr to Stadyen RTsOP-BGU in part of round 15 of the Belarus Vysshaya League.
Energetik hasn’t been playing well over the last couple of weeks, especially in the attacking part where they were dominant. In their last 4 games, Energetik has 2 draw, 2 losses, 3 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals. Thanks to their bad form, Energetik has slid down the standings and is now in 6th place with 23 goals, but still only 3 points away from Shakhtyor in second place. In their last Vysshaya League game against Dinamo Minsk, Energetik has had 45% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, and 2 corner kicks. This was a particularly good game for Energetik, and their bad form got the best of them once again, but despite that, Energetik managed to win a point in this match because it ended in a 0-0 draw. At the moment it doesn’t seem like it, but this season is a major improvement for Energetik comparing to the last one, and there is still plenty of time for Energetik to climb the standings, they just need to go back to being their old selves from the beginning of the season when Energetik was scoring a ton of goals.
Slavia has 2 wins and 2 losses in their last 4 games, and thanks to those 6 points, Slavia is now safely outside the relegation zone, in 11th place with 18 points. Offensively, Slavia is solid with 17 scored goals, while their defense certainly needs improvement. Slavia has conceded 22 goals in 14 games. In their last match against Smolevichi at home, Slavia has had a decent match with 49% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, and 1 corner kick. I would dare to say this was one of the best games of the season for Slavia, even if it was against one of the weakest teams in the Vysshaya League. Slavia has won this match 2-1. As far as the schedule goes, it doesn’t matter much to Slavia who they play against because they are the underdog in almost every game, and they need to fight really hard to even have a chance of winning a point. Fortunately for Slavia, there are at least 3 teams in the Vysshaya League that are weaker than them, and all of those teams are beneath them in the standings, which means that Slavia should stay in the Vysshaya League next season as well.
Energetik and Slavia have played twice against each other in the past, with one game ending in a draw, while Slavia won the other one. I think that Energetik is the better team here, and I will back them once again as they will look to get back on the winning track and to get their first win against Slavia.
