Over 2.5 (-125), Under 2.5 (+100)
Torino is welcoming Lazio to Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in round 29 of Italian Serie A.
After not losing any of their first two games since the restart, Torino got demolished but Cagliari this past weekend. Torino has had 61% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 84% of the correct passes. Torino has lost this game 4-2. Torino is now in 14th place in the standings with 31 points, and they are getting dangerously close to the relegation zone, only 6 points away. The defense has been the biggest problem for Torino this season and they conceded massive 50 goals, while their offense hasn’t been the best, it has been decent with 32 scored goals. Andrea Belotti is Torino’s top goalscorer with 11 goals, while Berenguer added 5 goals. Simone Verdi has added 4 assists. Daniele Basaelli is the only injured player for Torino. There is a lot that isn’t working out for Torino this season, and the pressure from behind them in the standings is immense. Torino must improve as soon as possible on both ends if they want to secure their spot in Serie A next season, and I think they will because they are the better team than every other team beneath them in the standings.
Lazio is still in the hunt for Juventus, but their loss against Atalanta has cost them, and Lazio is now 4 points behind Juventus, in second place with 65 points. Offensively, Lazio is the better team than Juventus with 64 scored goals in 28 games, but there is one team that is better than Lazio, and that is Atalanta. On the defensive end, Lazio has been playing really well and they conceded only 27 goals this season. Ciro Immobile has been playing fantastic soccer and he scored 28 goals in 28 games for Lazio this season, Caicedo added 8 goals. Luis Alberto has 12 assists. Lulic, Felipe, and Adekanye are injured, while Leiva and Cataldi are both still questionable. In their last Serie A game against Fiorentina at home, Lazio has had 55% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, and 84% of the correct passes. Fiorentina was ahead at the half-time, but Lazio tied the game in 67th minute from a penalty kick, and in the 82nd minute, Alberto scored a winning goal for Lazio. Lazio is playing fantastic soccer this season, and call me old fashioned, but I would like to see some other team that Juventus to win a title every one in a while, and I believe that Lazio can do it this season. They are playing well on both ends, but Juventus still has to lose at least 1 more game this season for Lazio to catch up.
Torino has had some success against Lazio at home, but their form I far to bad for me to give any chance to Torino in this match. Lazio is the better team and they need a win to stay in the hunt for Juventus.
