Arsenal host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, July 7th in what is going to be a very exciting encounter. Will Leicester get themselves back on track after gaining momentum against Crystal Palace on the weekend, or will Arsenal get themselves further up the table to claim a European football spot?
Arsenal has been in great form as of late, having won their last 4 matches. Arsenal beat Wolverhampton on Saturday in what was a superb performance by the ginners. Arsenal beat Wolves 2-0 and made sure that Wolves did not see a chance to score. Wolves only had 1 shot on target and Arsenal had 4. Arsenal made sure the game was played mostly in the center of the pitch and in the Wolves half. Arsenal are 7th in the league and are in a Europa League spot at the moment, The gunners know it is going to be a tough ask to try and claim a Champions League spot as Manchester United are 6 points ahead of them in 5th place, but they will not give up their hopes.
Leicester finally got themselves a victory after the restart of the Premier League, beating Crystal Palace 3-0. It was a very important game for Leicester to maintain their place in the 3rd place on the table, but also for Leicester's main talisman, Jamie Vardy. Vardy scored his 100th and 101st Premier League goal and he is now part of the centurian club. Leicester will have some confidence behind them after getting a first victory after the break, but they will have a tough task at hand here against Arsenal.
The reverse fixture between these two teams ended in a 2-0 victory for the foxes. However, Leicester was in much better form at the time. Leicester has been lacking in their strong play which allowed them to get so high up the league table earlier in the season. Arsenal, on the other hand, have won their last 4 matches and seem to be very determined to perform well under Arteta. This match will go the way of Arsenal in my opinion, who will want to replicate their performance against Wolves.
