RCD Mallorca is hosting Levante at Estadio de Sin Moix in round 35 in Spanish LaLiga.
Mallorca is not playing well, and they have only 1 win in their last 7 games since the restart. Despite all of that, Mallorca is close to the safe zone, in 18th place with 29 points, 6 points away from safety. Mallorca has been bad on both ends since the restart and they have scored 7 goals while conceding massive 15 goals in their last 7 games. Overall, Mallorca has the worst defense in LaLiga with 59 conceded goals, while they scored only 35 goals so far. Ante Budimir has scored 12 goals for Mallorca this season, while Sevilla and Rodriguez added 5 goals each. Lumor is the only injured player for Mallorca, while Pedraza is still questionable. In their most recent LaLiga game against Atletico Madrid on the road, Mallorca has had 52% of ball possession, 1 shot on goal, 5 corner kicks, and solid 82% of the correct passes. Mallorca has lost this game 0-3. I wanna say that the schedule is on the easier side for Mallorca in their last 4 games if the season, but there are no easy games for Mallorca. Can they win a couple of games before the end, absolutely, but Mallorca is a terrible defensive team, and that might cost them their spot in LaLiga next season.
Levante has lost only 1 game since the restart, and with that, Levante is safely outside the relegation zone, in 12th place with 43 points. Levante has secured their LaLiga spot for next season, and even though Levante can drop down in the standings, it doesn’t matter because Levante can’t get any higher. With 42 scored goals, Levante has been solid this season, while their defense is not the best, but not the worst either with 47 conceded goals. In their last LaLiga game against Real Sociedad at home, Levante has had 46% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 80% of the correct passes. The first 20 minutes of this game was explosive and we saw 2 goals, one on each side, but after that, the game toned down and it ended in 1-1 draw. Roger Marti has scored 11 goals for Levante this season, while Mayoral added another 7 goals. Jose Campana has 7 assists. Ivan Lopez is the only injured player for Levante at the moment. Even though it’s not yet over, this season was a success for Levante as they have secured their LaLiga spot for next season. Levante was aware that they are not good enough for the Europa League, but it’s still nice being close to it.
Mallorca’s last home win against Levante was back in 2012, but desperation can make the team play much better than they usually would, and trust me, Mallorca is desperate. The trends are mixed here, but I will give this a shot and I will side with Mallorca.
