Norwich City host West Ham United on Saturday, July 11th at Carrow Road in the 34th match of the Premier League. Will Norwich receive the final nail in the coffin and secure their relegation?
Norwich City is destined to be relegated. At the bottom of the league, 10 points away from safety with 5 matches remaining, Norwich City are not going to show us a miracle. Norwich had a chance of at least giving it a go earlier in the week against Watford. Norwich opened the scoring 4 minutes into the match, going 1-0. However, 6 minutes later they gave the lead away and Watford equalised. Watford eventually won the match 2-1 and pushed themselves further away from the relegation zone, whilst pushing Norwich City further into it. Norwich have no chance of doing anything meaningful in their last few matches and I would be incredibly shocked if they even get more points.
West Ham United lost to Burnley 1-0 in their last match. That match was incredibly tight and both teams could have won it. West Ham are really happy with their victory against Chelsea last week which allowed them to move further away from the relegation zone. West Ham is 4 points clear of the relegation zone, and they will be confident in their ability to beat Norwich City and get themselves even more safely away from the relegation zone. West Ham have a lot of talent and when they face lesser sides, there is a very good chance of them getting points out of the match.
The reverse fixture between these two sides finished with a 2-0 victory by West Ham. The hammers are the better team and they are confident in their abilities here. I expect this match to be a one-way victory. Norwich have no hope of saving themselves and even though it is still mathematically possible, 10 points in 5 matches is going to be the toughest task for Norwich. Norwich has only earned 21 points in 33 matches, so you cannot expect them to get any points from these next 5 matches. Take West Ham to win and double your money.
