Bournemouth host Leicester City on Sunday, July 12th at Vitality Stadium in what is a pivotal fixture for both sides. Will Leicester get back to winning ways, or will Bournemouth give themselves a chance of getting closer of getting out of the relegation zone?
Bournemouth has a great match in their last fixture, securing a 0-0 draw against Tottenham earlier in the week. Tottenham were not good in that match and Bournemouth deserved to win it. Bournemouth had so many chances, and it really looked like they could take all 3 points against Tottenham. Although Bournemouth did not win, a point is better than nothing for a team in their position. Bournemouth is 18th in the league and 6 points behind safety. Bournemouth really need to give it their all in these last 4 fixtures if they really want to save themselves and their season.
Leicester City has not been in great form in recent matches as they are looking to secure their Champions League spots. Leicester's last match was a 1-1 draw against Arsenal, which to be honest was a lucky result for the foxes. Leicester are happy that Chelsea lost 3-0 to Sheffield United on Saturday and they will be looking to take all 3 points against Bournemouth to maintain their 3rd spot on the table. Leicester is one of the best teams in the Premier League, but sometimes they just don't show up. Will the foxes show up on Sunday?
The reverse fixture between these two sides ended in a 3-1 Leicester City victory. I think this is going to be a much tighter fixture as both teams really need the points here. Bournemouth need points if they are going to save themselves from relegation, and Leicester needs points if they are to make sure they don't fall down the table and out of the Champions League spots. I think Bournemouth are not going to give many chances away and they are going to want to build on what they achieved at Tottenham, however, at the end of the day, the experience of Leicester will come out on top.
