Manchester City host Bournemouth on Wednesday, July 15th at Etihad Stadium. Will Bournemouth be able to keep their hopes of getting out of the relegation zone alive, or will City destroy them and their hopes?
Manchester City has had some incredible news this Monday as their UEFA Champions League ban was lifted and replaced with a £10m fine. City are going to be very ecstatic about the news and many teams in the Premier League, such as Leicester City and Wolverhampton, will not be. City have been incredible as of recent, especially in their last victory over Brighton with a 5-0 scoreline. Raheem Sterling got a hat-trick for City and they all showed us why they are the favourites to win the Champions League this season. I see City playing these last 3 games to perfection and making sure their team chemistry and play is perfect. Teams should be extremely scared of City.
Bournemouth played an incredible match last week, coming back from 1-0 down against Leicester City to win 4-1. Bournemouth got themselves closer to leaving the relegation zone, even though they are 3 points behind safety, but this victory gave them some hope. Bournemouth will however be extremely disappointed that they will now have to play Manchester City in one of their last 3 matches where points are vital. Bournemouth's hopes will go out of the window in my opinion unless they can get something out of this match.
The reverse fixture between these two teams ended in a 3-1 Manchester City victory. City are the far better team, have the far better mentality, and they do not care if they have nothing to play for, they always give it their all. City are going to want to show us why they are the favourite to win the Champions League, and the lift of their ban will definitely have given them even more motivation and confidence to come out and continue to dominate in these last 3 Premier League matches. Manchester City will end Bournemouth's hopes of getting out of the relegation zone, and they will do it by scoring many many goals.
