The semi-finals of the FA Cup are here and on Saturday, July 18th we have Arsenal against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
Arsenal have gained some momentum coming into this match, having recently defeated the Premier League champions, Liverpool, earlier in the week 2-1. Arsenal have been in great form since the restart of the Premier League and they will feel that if they give it their absolute best, they might stand a chance here in the FA Cup. Arsenal secured their semi-final spot by defeating Sheffield United in the quarter-finals. Arsenal will definitely put their best team out, with the probably front three being Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexander Lacazette, and Nicolas Pepe. Will Arsenal stun Manchester City, a team who has already beaten them 3-1 since the restart of the Premier League in a very one-sided match?
Manchester City defeated Newcastle United 2-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals to book their spot here in the final. City were solid in that performance and it really came down to Kevin De Bruyne. When you look at Manchester City, they play drastically different when Kevin De Bruyne is on the pitch and he makes all the difference in my opinion. I expect City to put up Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne to get the best out of their team and to propel them into the final of the FA Cup.
Arsenal are quoted at +800, and for a team which has just recently beaten Liverpool 2-1, that might look attractive to some. However, Arsenal are no match for Manchester City. Manchester City really want to win this title and they will give it 110%. Arsenal played Manchester City in their first match back in the Premier League after the break and we all know how that ended in a terrible Arsenal performance. Manchester City want to win the FA Cup, show us why they are the favourites in the Champions League, and win the Carabao Cup. I think City are going to be unstoppable in these 3 competitions and they will put on a goal-fest on Saturday. Take City -1.5.
