Norwich City host Burnley on Saturday, July 18th at Carrow Road in what is going to be a very exciting Premier League fixture.
Norwich City has nothing to play for anymore in the Premier League as they have been officially relegated, however, this has allowed them to play without pressure as of recent. Norwich City put on a quite solid performance against Chelsea earlier in the week, only losing 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. Of course it was a defeat, but Norwich showed some great chances in that match and they could have gotten a goal themselves if they had put a little more pressure. Norwich has no stress or pressure in these last two matches, and it is going to be interesting to see how well they play with this freedom. Many players in the team will also believe they have a right to stay in the Premier League with their individual talent and therefore might play above and beyond to try and attract teams to buy them once the transfer window opens.
Burnley is coming off an incredible draw against Wolverhampton earlier in the week, ending the match 1-1. The match was incredibly tight, with both teams being incredibly defensive until the 76th minute. In the 76th minute, Wolves opened the scoring with a Raul Jimenez beauty of a strike. It looked as if Wolves had stolen the match and they would play defensively to secure all 3 points. However, in the 96th minute, a handball in the Wolves penalty area allowed for Burnley to get awarded a penalty. Chris Wood stood up and drew the match. This was an incredibly fun match to watch and definitely gave Burnley confidence coming into this match.
The reverse fixture between these two sides shockingly ended in a 2-1 Norwich City victory. Norwich have only won 5 matches this season, and although they have no pressure on them, their back four is still terrible. I see this match being filled with goals, however, most of them being on Burnley's side. We're getting good plus money on Burnley so take them at +125.
