Everton host Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Sunday, July 26th in the final day of the 2019/20 English Premier League season.
Bournemouth needs this match if they are to stand a chance to save themselves from relegation. However, it is a far fetched possibility for them to save themselves. Bournemouth are going to need all 3 points here and they are going to need Aston Villa and Watford both to lose their matches. If that is not the case, it is goodbye to Bournemouth from the Premier League. Bournemouth are just not at the level they need to be, especially having lost their last two matches which they should have gotten some points out of. If Bournemouth play like they did in those matches, there is no chance for them to save themselves.
Everton has nothing to play for in this match, but Carlo Ancelotti is not the type of manager to let games go to the other team. Ancelotti will put out his best team and try and use the data and knowledge from this match to help his decision-making over the summer window. I expect Everton to come out and give it their all as the players will also know that Ancelotti will sell some players if they do not perform at their best for the club.
The reverse fixture between these two sides ended in a 3-1 Bournemouth victory. Everton were not the same team as they are not, and although they're not much better, they have put in some solid performances as of recent. I expect Bournemouth to be very attacking, and this might get them a goal or two, but it will also leave a lot of gaps in their defence which Everton can exploit on the counter-attack. Bournemouth have a lot to lose and they have a lot of pressure, I do not see them playing their best with it all on the line. Everton on the other hand will just want to put in a solid performance for the manager, and will play more freely. Everton will win this match and relegate Bournemouth.
