Manchester City host Norwich City in the final day of the 2019/20 Premier League season on Sunday, July 26th at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City have had a quite shocking season by comparison to their last one, coming in 2nd place with 78 points. City are not known to lose to many sides, but this season they have lost 9 matches which seems very shocking. However, Manchester City is probably the best team in the league, and perhaps in Europe, on their day. City are coming off a 4-0 victory over Watford which aided in Aston Villa's final day hopes of saving themselves from relegation. Manchester City make easy work of lesser sides and they will definitely come out here to put in one final solid performance before the Champions League next month. I expect some youngsters to start as well, such as Phil Foden, and they will show us why they are the favourites for the Champions League.
Norwich City has been the worse team of the season, and they have already been officially relegated a few weeks ago. With this official relegation, many expected Norwich City to play with more freedom and less pressure, however, they have just given up on even getting their morale up. 26 losses in a season, and about to be 27 is a shocking result and they are definitely going to struggle in the Championship is they play like they have in the Premier League.
The reverse fixture between these two sides was a shocking 3-2 Norwich City victory! However, this time around Manchester City will get their revenge. Norwich is the worst team in the league and they will not even get a chance to score a goal here in my opinion. Pep Guardiola is definitely going to expect the best from his players and he will want to ensure that they get a superb performance under their belts before the UEFA Champions League next month. I expect Manchester City to come out, dominate possession, and win this match by 3 or 4 goals. I do not see Norwich City scoring here.
