Israel is welcoming Slovakia to Netanya Stadium in round 2 in the UEFA Nations League.

Israel has been in bad form, and they have been struggling with consistency for a long time. In their first match in the Nations League, Israel has been playing against Scotland on the road, and they were solid in that match with 52% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and a solid 86% of the correct passes. After conceding a goal from a penalty kick in the 45th minute of the first half, Israel was the better team in the second half, and they were able to tie the score in the 73rd minute. This match has ended in a 1-1 draw. Eran Zahavi is the only goalscorer for Israel so far, while Dabbur added 1 assist. The Euro Cup qualifications were terrible for Israel, but they can still get to the Euro Cup if they beat Scotland in the Qualification Playoffs. There aren’t many well-known players in Israel, but Dabbur is their best player for sure. Dabbur is playing for Hoffenheim in Bundesliga. I don’t know, Israel is a decent team, but I don’t think they have the depth or the quality to get to the Euro Cup. I know that Scotland is not a world-class team, but they are better than Israel.

Slovakia has been good, but they weren’t able to qualify for the Euro cup through the qualifications as Slovakia ended in third place, however, Slovakia can still get there if they beat Ireland in the Qualification Payoffs. Slovakia has played against the Czech Republic in their first game in the Nations League, and they have disappointed me. Slovakia has had only 40% of ball possession at home, 2 shots on goal, 0 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 80% of accurate passes. Sure, Slovakia was playing without their best player Hamsik, but that is not an excuse because they had Kucka, Duda, Lobotka, and Skrinar all in the starting lineup. Slovakia ended up losing this game 1-3. The only goalscorer for Slovakia is Ivan Schranz with 1 goal. In their Nations League group, Slovakia is the only team without a point, and they are in the last place with 1 scored goal and 3 conceded goals. I’m certain we will see a few changes in the starting lineup for this game, and probably the formation change because what Slovakia did in that game was embarrassing. Slovakia is a good team on paper, and they can definitely beat Ireland in the Qualification Playoffs, but they need to get on top of their game before then.

Israel did well against Scotland, but Slovakia will look to bounce back after their disappointing loss. Slovakia us the better team in this match, and we are getting them with a fantastic price on the road. I will bite the bullet, and side with Slovakia once again.
