PSG is hosting Metz at Parc des Princes in the postponed game of round 1 in the French Ligue 1.

PSG has reached the Champions League finals, where they lost 1-0, and they haven’t started their Ligue 1 season well last week. PSG has played 2 games in Ligue 1 so far, and they have lost both of those games. In their last match against Marseille at home, PSG was dominant with 65% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and 88% of the correct passes. This was a very chaotic match, and PSG was behind 0-1 at half time. PSG was pressing in the second half, but they weren’t able to score, and in the end, PSG has lost this match 0-1. We saw 14 yellow cards in this game, and 5 red cards, all in the last minute of the game. PSG is yet to score a goal in Ligue 1 this season, and this is one of the worst starts of the season in the last few years for PSG. A lot of that has to do with Coronavirus positive tests in PSG, and they were without some important players in these 2 games. Navas, Mbappe, Marquinhos, and Icardi are all still in the quarantine, and they will miss this match. PSG will also be without Neymar, Paredes, and Kurzawa for this game because they conceded red cards in their previous game. PSG is struggling a lot at the moment, especially in the attacking end, but those problems will go away soon, I just hope it will be on time for PSG to get back in the title race.

Metz has been outstanding in the preseason, but they have lost both of their games in Ligue 1 so far, both 1-0. The last season was solid for Metz, and they were able to stay out of the relegation zone when the season was canceled. In their last Ligue 1 match against Lille on the road, Metz was the weaker team with 39% of ball possession, 1 shot on goal, 3 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 74% of the correct passes. Metz was defending really well for most of the game, but they weren’t able to stop Lille in the 88th minute. Metz has lost this match 1-0. Metz still hasn’t won a point or scored a goal this season, and they are in 17th place in the standings. Traore and N’Doram are still injured, and they will skip this match. Metz was lucky last season because the competition was shortened, and they would have ended in the relegation zone because their offense was weak, and I don’t expect it to be any different this season. I see Metz fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table.

Metz hasn’t won any of their last 9 games against PSG, while PSG has lost their last 3 games while not scoring a single goal during that stretch. When playing at home, PSG has not lost to Metz in their last 14 games. Metz is a bad team, and even though PSG will be missing a lot of players, they are the favorites in this match. I think it’s time for PSG to score some goals.
