Leeds United and Fulham FC will face off Saturday morning in an English Premier League showdown at Elland Road in Leeds. These teams last faced off in June and in that game Leeds had no issue coming away with a 3-0 victory.
Both of these teams were promoted to the Champions League before this season and this game could go a long way in deciding if either of these teams go down at the end of the season.
Leeds is on a short week after playing in the second round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday against Hull CIty, a game they ended up winning on penalty kicks. In the first game of the season Leeds played against Liverpool, a game that looked near impossible, but they were actually competitive in. Three times Leed’s fell behind by a goal and three times they were able to come back. In the end they gave up a penalty late that cost them the game. There are some questions about defense, but this is a team that isn’t going to back down to anyone and they have proven that they have a strong offense. Three different players scored a goal in the first game.
On the other side of this matchup is Fulham who are also playing on a short week because of a game on Wednesday against Ipswich Town, a game they were able to win 1-0. In the first game of the Premier League Fulham didn’t find any success against Arsenal losing 3-0. Fulham only had 45 percent of the possession and they only had two shots on goal. Fulham did let up a goal in the 8th minute and any confidence they had seemed to go out the window.
In terms of talent, Leeds United has more playmakers and they are going to find success again in this one. Look for Leeds to get a goal early and Fulham FC will have no answer. Back Leeds to come away with a key victory on the money line.
