Leicester City and Arsenal face off on Wednesday in a third round EFL matchup at King Power Stadium. The winner of this game will move onto the next round.
Arsenal has found a lot of success to kick off the English Premier League standings. In the FA Community Cup Final Arsenal was able to beat Liverpool on penalty kicks. To start off the Premier League seasons Arsenal beat Fulham and West Ham. In the last game against West Ham they had 63 percent of the possession but they were outshot 14-7. As much success as Arsenal has, there is some concern with the team with injuries. Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Gabriel Martinelli and Shkodran Mustafi are still out for this game and now Kieran Tierney is dealing with a groin injury that will hold him out. Emilie Smith Rowe is dealing with a shoulder injury and will also be out. The lineup this team comes up will be very interesting but some of the younger players on this squad will probably be expected to step up.
Leicester City has also gotten off to a fast start to the season winning their first two games of the Premier League. To start the season Leicester City beat West Brom 3-0 and in the second game against Burnley, Leicester City won 4-2. In the last game Leicester City had 68 percent of the possession and completed 621 passes. The only concern from the last game is the way the defense played, giving up two goals, and in this game they need the defense to be a lot better. The good news for Leicester is it seems they are going to be mostly healthy for this game.
Arsenal is really banged up heading into this game, and that is going to hurt their chances to come away with a victory. Leicester City’s offense is strong and that is going to continue in this game. Look for Leicester City to get a few goals early, and they are going to find a way to come away with a victory.
