Crotone is welcoming AC Milan to Stadio Ezio Scida in round 2 in the Italian Serie A.

Crotone is the newcomer to Serie A after they won the second place in Serie B last season. Crotone was the second-best attacking team in Serie B, while their defense was solid, but not good enough for the first place. Crotone was facing Genoa in their first game in Serie A, and they have had 52% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and a solid 86% of the correct passes. This wasn’t a bad game for Crotone, but their defense was not up to the task. Crotone has lost this match 4-1. The only goalscorer for Crotone is Riviere, while Molina added 1 assist. Benali, Gigliotti, and Riviere are all injured, while Cuomo is still questionable for this game. Same as for the most newcomers, Crotone will be struggling for most of the season, and I think they will be spending most of their time around the relegation zone. There are a few teams of the equal quality to Crotone in Serie A this season, and Crotone certainly can win enough points to stay outside the relegation zone, but it will be an extremely hard season for them.

Milan was undefeated in Serie A after the restart last season, and they have continued to play well in this new season. Milan is now on a 7-game winning streak, preseason included. Earlier this week, Milan was playing in the Europa League qualifications against Bodo, and they have won that match 3-2. The last opponent in the qualifications for Milan will be Rio Ave, and if they beat them, Milan will be playing in the Europa League. In their first Serie A game against Bologna at home, Milan was the better team with 58% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and a solid 86% of the correct passes. Milan has scored 1 goal in each half, and they have won this game 2-0. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is playing like he is 29 years old and not 39, and he has scored both of Milan’s goals so far this season. Herandez has added 1 assist. The unfortunate news for Milan is that Ibrahimovic will miss this game because he has Coronavirus, while Musacchio, Romagnoli, Castillejo, and Duarte are injured, and they will also miss this game. Milan has signed a few good players in the offseason, and if they are going to sing Bakayoko and Aurier, Milan would have become a legit competitor for the title, or at least for one of the Champions League spots. Let’s go, Milan.

Milan has not lost any of their last 20 games, and they have never lost to Crotone in the past. Crotone hasn’t lost any of their last 8 home games, but that was back when they were in Serie B. Milan is the better team here, and they are in better form. I will stick with Milan on the road.
