The Wolves and Fulham face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Molineux Stadium at West Midlands.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.started off their Premier League season with a win, but since that point they have really struggled. The Wolves started off the season with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United. Each of the last two games though against Manchester City and West Ham United, the defense let them down giving up seven goals total while only scoring one goal. In the last game against West Ham they gave up four goals. In that last game against West Ham the Wolves did have 64 percent of the possession, but that doesn’t do a whole lot unless that includes putting goals in the back of the net. The Wolves have been a defense first team, and in this game they need the Wolves defense to step up in a big way.
The way this season has started for Fulham it looks like they might be near the bottom of the standings all season so every point is important for them. Fulham has played two games so far and they lost both of the games. To start the season, Fulham lost 4-3 and in the last game against Aston Villa the defense was a problem again giving up three goals. In that game against Aston Villa they gave up a goal in the 4th minute and there really wasn’t any looking back as they came away with a loss. In that game, Fulham had 65 percent of the possession but they could only manage three shots on goal and that led to the loss. In this game they need to take more advantage of their chances and try to find the back of the net.
Fulham isn’t a great offensive team and the Wolves are an elite defense and that is going to continue to be the case in this game. Look for a low scoring game that stays well under the posted total. It’s a lean to the Wolves on the money line.
