Bayer 04 Leverkusen 3-3-0, Borussia M’gladbach 3-2-1

Bayern 04 Leverkusen is hosting Borussia M’gladbach at BayArena in round 7 in the German Bundesliga.
Leverkusen is playing in great form, and they have won 5 of their last 6 games in Bundesliga and the Europa League. After their loss to Slavia Prague last week, Leverkusen was playing against Hapoel on the road earlier this week, and they have won that match 2-4. In the Bundesliga standings, Leverkusen is in 4th place with 12 points, 10 scored goals, and 5 conceded goals. In their last Bundesliga game, Leverkusen was playing against Freiburg on the road, and they were the better team in that game with 60% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 6 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and a decent 84% of the correct passes. After losing 1-0 in the 3rd minute, Leverkusen turned the game around by half time.in the second half, Leverkusen scored 2 more goals, and they have won this match 2-4. Alario is playing in fantastic form for Leverkusen, and he is their leading goalscorer with 5 goals. Bailey has added 2 assists. Arias and Paulinho are the only 2 injured players for Leverkusen. It’s still early in the season, and I am not yet convinced that Leverkusen has the depth to compete in two competitions, but they certainly have the quality to get to the Europa League spot this season.
After two unfortunate draws in the Champions League, Borussia M’gladbach has finally won a game in the Champions League, and they did it with style. Borussia was playing against Shakhtar Donetsk on the road, and they have demolished them 0-6. Borussia is also having a decent season in Bundesliga, and they are in 5th place with 11 points, 9 scored goals, and 8 conceded goals. In their latest Bundesliga game, Borussia was hosting Leipzig, and they have had 49% of ball possession in that game, 3 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 79% of the correct passes. Borussia was defending really well, and they were able to score a goal in the 60th minute, which was enough for a win in this match. Stindl and Hofmann are the leading goalscorers for Borussia with 2 goals each, while Hofmann also added 4 assists. Poulsen and Zakaria are the only two injured players for Borussia M’gladbach as of right now. Borussia is a good team, certainly one of the best in Bundesliga, and they have the quality to reach one of the top 4 spots, but they are still finding their goalscoring form from last season.
Leverkusen hasn’t lost any of their last 7 home games, while Borussia hasn’t lost any of their last 9 games overall. I think that Leverkusen is in a slightly better form, and they are coming into this match as a slight favorite, but Borussia is a good team, and I can’t just write them off. I think we will see a good game here, but because Leverkusen’s defense is shaky, I think we will see goals on both sides.
