Bayern Munich is welcoming RB Leipzig to Allianz Arena in a derby match of round 10 in the German Bundesliga.
Bayern is still going strong, and they are still not stopping. Earlier this week Bayern was playing against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, and that game ended in a 1-1 draw despite Bayern playing with their third lineup. In Bundesliga, Bayern is at the top of the table with 22 points, massive 31 scored goals, and 13 conceded goals. As usual, Lewandowski has been in great form, and he has already scored 12 goals and added 4 assists for Bayern in Bundesliga this season. Kimmich is still injured, while Davies has recovered, but it’s still unknown if he will be in the lineup for this match. In their last Bundesliga game, Bayern was playing against Stuttgart on the road, and they have had 58% of ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 83% of the correct passes. This wasn’t Bayern’s best game of the season, but they were able to get another win. The final score of this game was 1-3. Bayern is the safe traveler to the next stage of the Champions League, which means they will once again be playing with their second lineup. As far as Bundesliga goes, Bayern is the biggest favorite to win it, but the competition is strong this season.
Leipzig is once again back on winning track, but their defense is shaky. Earlier this week in the Champions League, Leipzig has beaten Basaksehir on the road, and they are now in 3rd place with 9 points, same as PSG and Manchester United. This is the most interesting group in the Champions League, and one of these three teams will be going to the Europa League. Leipzig was hosting Arminia in their last Bundesliga game, and they have had 58% of ball possession in that game, 6 shots on goal, 6 corner kicks, 4 big chances created, and a solid 83% of the correct passes. With 1 scored goal in each half, Leipzig has won this game 2-1. Leipzig is now in 2nd place in Bundesliga with 20 points, 18 scored goals, and only 6 conceded goals which makes them the best defensive team in Bundesliga this season. Laimer, Klostermann, Hwang, and Henrichs are all injured, and they will be in the lineup for this game. Angelino is the leading goalscorer for Leipzig with 4 goals, while Poulsen added 3 goals. Dani Olmo has 4 assists. I know this is a match in Bundesliga, but Leipzig has to win their next Champions League game, or at least not to lose it, which is why it would be wise for them to rest some players.
When playing at home, Bayern has not lost to Leipzig in their last 4 games. Four of the last 5 games between these two teams ended with less than 3 goals, but I don’t see this to be the case here. Because Leipzig is playing in a very important game in the Champions League, I will take Bayern and goals at home.
