AC Milan is welcoming Roma to Giuseppe Meazza in a derby match of round 28 in Italian Serie A.

Milan has been hot and cold this season, and just when it seems that they are getting better, Milan does something stupid and they are back at square one. Milan has scored only 32 goals this season while conceding 35 goals in 27 goals. With 39 points, Milan is in 8th place, but the Europa League is still close, just 3 points away. Milan has already lost 10 games this season, and there are still 10 games left, but Milan can’t afford to lose any more games if they want to have a chance at getting to the Europa League spot. In their last Serie A game against Lecce, their first game in Serie A since the restart, Milan has put on a good performance and has had 62% of ball possession, massive 11 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 88% of the correct passes. Milan was the better team and they have won this match 1-4. Rebic has been playing well since before the break and he has scored 7 goals in 16 games for Milan, while Hernandez added 5 goals. Calhanolgu has added 3 assists. Ibrahimovic and Musacchio are injured, while Duarte and Kjaer are still questionable. Milan has been struggling for a few seasons now, and this one is not better, but changes are being made in Milan, and we will see next season what will happen over the summer.

Roma is on a 5-game streak without a loss dating back to late February when they have beaten Gent in the first leg of the knockouts in the Europa League. The second leg ended in a 1-1 draw and Roma advanced to the Round of 16 in the Europa League. In the Serie A standings, Roma is in 5th place with 48 points, impressive 53 scored goals, and 36 conceded goals, just 6 points away from the Champions League spot. Edin Dzeko has scored 14 goals for Roma this season, while Mkhitaryan and Kolarov each added 6 goals. Pellegrini has added 9 assists so far. Zaniolo is still injured, while Lopez is questionable for this game. Roma is playing well this season, and with a few more additions to their team over the summer, I think Roma would be a legit contestant for the top three places in Serie A next season. In their last Serie A game against Sampdoria last week, Roma was the better team with 61% of ball possession, 9 shots on goal, 10 corner kicks, and high 89% of the correct passes. Roma was losing at the half-time, but with two goals from Dzeko in the second half, Roma has turned the game around and has won 2-1. I like Roma, and I like what they are constantly doing in and around the club to improve. Roma is an example of a well-led team that is striving towards much more than they have right now.

Just by looking at this matchup, goals come to mind. Roma is the better team this season overall, but Milan has shown us that they can score some goals. With everything being said, I will give it a shot at goals in this game.
