Atalanta is welcoming Napoli to Gewiss Stadium in a derby match of round 29 in Italian Serie A.

Atalanta has been outstanding, dating back to before the break, and in their last 3 games in Serie A since the restart, Atalanta has scored massive 10 goals, but they also conceded 5 goals. With 3 wins from their last three games, Atalanta is now in 4th place in the standings with 57 points, massive 80 scored goals, and 39 conceded goals. Bayern has scored 100 goals in Bundesliga this season, but I have a feeling that Atalanta will surpass that. In their most recent Serie A game against Udinese on the road, Atalanta has had 69% of ball possession, 12 shots on goal, 10 corner kicks, and 90% of the correct passes. This was a fantastic game in which Atalanta has won 2-3. Ilicic and Muriel have both scored 15 goals for Atalanta, while Zapata added 14 goals. Gomez added 12 assists. Malinovskyi is the only injured player for Atalanta. Atalanta is one of those teams that are more focused on the offense than defense, and I love them for that. Playing every game with a philosophy to always score one more goal than the opponent must be fun and exciting, and that is why Atalanta is the best team in Serie A in my opinion.

Napoli hasn’t lost any of their last 9 games and winning the Coppa Italia competition has certainly brought a dose of confidence to Napoli. In their two games in Serie A since the restart, Napoli has 2 wins and has scored 5 goals, while conceding only 1 goal. Napoli is in 6th place in the standings with 45 points thanks to their bad spell in November and December, and I’m pretty sure it cost Napoli the Champions League spot as they are massive 12 points behind Atalanta. Napoli has scored 46 goals so far this season, which isn’t bad, but it could be a lot better. Their defense is getting better with each game, and Napoli has conceded 37 goals. There are no injuries in Napoli, but Allan is still questionable for this game. In their last match against Spal at home, Napoli was the better team with 66% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and a high 92% of accurate passes. Napoli has won this game 3-1. Napoli’s chances for the Champions League are slim, but they are a good team that has won one trophy this season, and if they can keep most of their players for next season, I think Napoli will be an excellent team that will be much close to the top 3 then this season.

Atalanta hasn’t lost any of their last 10 games, while Napoli hasn’t lost any of their last 9 games. This is a match between two of the teams that are scoring a ton of goals, while Atalanta is also conceding a lot. There is nothing that could take me away from the goals market in this game.
