Bayern Munich is welcoming Borussia M’gladbach to Allianz Arena in part of round 31 in German Bundesliga.

Bayern seems to be unbeatable, at least in Germany. With 5 straight wins since the season restarted, Bayern has secured the top spot in Bundesliga and now has 70 points, alongside 90 scored goals, and 30 conceded goals. Bayern’s defense isn’t great, but they have plenty of offense to cover for that. Just in their last 5 games, Bayern has scored 17 goals, which an average of over 3 goals per game. In their last match in Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, Bayern has had 53% of ball possession, 10 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 84% of the correct passes. Leverkusen has scored first, in 9th minute, but that seems to have only awoken Bayern who turned the game around with three unanswered goals in the first half. In the second half, Bayern has scored one more goal, and this match ended in 2-4 win for Bayern Munich. Lewandowski is scoring goals like a machine and now has 30 goals in Bundesliga. Gnarby added 12 goals and 10 assists, while Muller added 19 assists. Coutinho, Tolisso, and Sule are all injured and will not be in the lineup. Bayern’s streak without a loss in a competitive game goes back all the way to early December when they lost to M’gladbach, the team they are facing in this match, but a lot has changed since then and Bayern looks absolutely amazing, especially in the attacking part of the game.

M’gladbach has been sloppy as of late, and with that, they have put their Champions League dreams in jeopardy. M’gladbach is in 4th place with 56 points, which is the Champions League spot, but Leverkusen is behind them with the same amount of points. In their last match against Freiburg on the road, Borussia M’gladbach has had 65% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 10 corner kicks, and 86% of the correct passes. M’gladbach wasn’t able to use any of their chances and has lost this match 1-0, and like that wasn’t enough, one of their best players. Plea got the red card and will skip this important game. Plea and Thuram have both scored 10 goals this season, while Plea added 10 assists, and Thuram has 7 assists. Johnson, Strobl, Zakaria, and Embolo are all injured. There was a period of the season when M’gladbach was at the top of the Bundesliga and they were playing the best soccer, but those days are gone and Borussia M’gladbach must focus now to keep their Champions League spot. Borussia M’gladbach is a good team, and they definitely deserve to be in the top four but deserving something and being able to do it are two different things, and I hope that M’gladbach can do it.

Bayern hasn’t lost any of their last 16 games, and they are on an 11-game winning streak. Borussia M’gladbach has beaten Bayern in the reverse fixture this season, but the question is can they do it once again to help themselves and Borussia Dortmund. Bayern is playing in the DFB Pokal competition earlier this week, which will certainly have an impact on their physical shape. I will take a stab at M’gladbach for a nice plus money.
