Inter is hosting Bologna at Giuseppe Meazza in round 30 in Italian Serie A.

Inter hasn’t lost any of their last 4 Serie A games, but I’m afraid the gap between them and Juventus is too big for Inter to be in the run for the title, even though they still have a mathematical chance to do so. Inter is in 3rd place in the standings with 64 points, 8 points less than Juventus. Inter has scored massive 62 goals so far and it’s hard to imagine that they are only the third-best offensive team in Serie A. their defense is also the third-best in Serie A with 29 conceded goals. In their most recent match in Serie A against Brescia, Inter was expectedly dominant with 61% of ball possession, huge 9 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 88% of the correct passes. Inter has scored 3 goals in each half and has won this game 6-0. Lukaku is still Inter’s top goalscorer with 19 goals, while Martinez added 12 goals. Antonio Candreva added 7 assists. Sensi, Moses, and Vecino are all injured, while Brozovic should be ready for this game. Skrinar is still suspended because of the red card. Inter is going in the right direction, and coach Conte is doing an awesome job, but the only thing Inter needs is just a bit more consistency and I have no doubt they will be closer to the top next season.

Bologna has played only 3 games since the restart and they have 1 loss, 1 draw, and 1 win. Bologna has scored 41 goals and conceded 46 goals, which is enough for 11th place where Bologna is safe from the relegation, and they are satisfied with that. Orsolini is Bologna’s best goal scorer with 8 goals and 4 assists, while Palacio added 6 goals. Santander, Olsen, Poli, and Mbaye are all injured and none of them will play in this game. Bologna has actually been playing better soccer on the road than at home this season, and I suppose that is the advantage now when we don’t have the audience in the stands. In their latest Serie A game against Cagliari at home, Bologna was the better team with big 61% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, and 85% of the correct passes. Late in the first half, Bologna has scored a goal and was ahead, but just as the second half started, Cagliari has tied the result which hasn’t changed again, and this game ended in a 1-1 draw. Technically, Bologna can still get to the Europa League, but stronger teams are competing for the same spot and I just don’t see Bologna getting there.

Inter was dominant in this matchup in the past, and they have lost only 1 game at home this season and Inter hasn’t lost any of their last 5 games. Inter is waking up in the attacking end, and for that reason only I will side with Inter at home.
