Napoli is hosting Sassuolo at Stadio San Paolo in round 36 in Italian Serie A.

Napoli has lost their last game, and with that, Napoli has lost their Europa League spot. Napoli is now in 7th place with 56 points, 3 points less than Milan in 6th place. Napoli isn’t playing consistent this season, and frankly, there are better teams in Serie A, the teams that deserve to get to the Europa League more than Napoli does. In their last match in Serie A against Parma on the road, Napoli was dominant with massive 69% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, and high 92% of the correct passes, but none of that was enough for Napoli to win this game. This was a match where we saw 3 goals from three penalty kicks, but unfortunately for Napoli, Parma has scored 2 goals. Napoli has lost this match 2-1. Milik is still Napoli’s top goalscorer with 11 goals, while Mertens added 9 goals. Callejon and Insigne both added 7 assists. There are no injuries in Napoli as of right now, but Ospina is still questionable for this game. Napoli has already won a trophy this season, which was the Coppa Italian trophy, but now they must remain focused because the Champions League will start soon, and their battle for the Europa League in Serie A is ragging on.

Sassuolo has been in good form over the last couple of weeks, but now they haven’t won any of their last 3 games in Serie A. in their last 10 games since the restart, Sassuolo has scored in every one of their games, 23 goals in total while conceding at least 1 goals in all of those 10 games, 21 goals in total. With 64 scored goals in total this season, Sassuolo is one of the most effective teams in Serie A, but their defense is not allowing them to get to the Europa League, even though they are really close. Sassuolo has conceded massive 60 goals this season. With 48 points, Sassuolo is in 8th place in the standings, with no chance of getting to the Europa League I must add. Caputo has scored 19 goals for Sassuolo so far this season, while Berardi added 13 goals, and Boga added 11 goals. Berardi and Caputo also added 6 assists each. Romagna and Defrel are both injured, while Obiang, Boga, and Chiriches are all still questionable. Bourabia is suspended because of the red card. In their latest Serie A game against Milan at home, Sassuolo was solid with 50% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 85% of the correct passes. Sassuolo lost this match 1-2. Sassuolo was fantastic after the restart, and they absolutely deserve to be this high in the standings, probably even to go to the Europa League, well, maybe next season.

To be honest this one could go either way despite Napoli being dominant in this matchup. Sassuolo has been consistent in two things since the restart, and that is in scoring and conceding goals, and for that reason, I will pick something on goals here.
