Osasuna is welcoming Getafe to Estadio El Sadar in round 34 in Spanish LaLiga.

Osasuna is on a 3-game winning streak, and with those 9 points under their belt, Osasuna has secured their LaLiga status for next season. Osasuna is in 11th place in the standings with 44 points, 8 points away from the Europa League, but I don’t think they will get there. Osasuna is an average team in LaLiga with 40 scored goals and 47 conceded goals. In their last three games, Osasuna has scored solid 5 goals, while conceding only 1 goal. Who knows, if this form came just a little bit earlier, Osasuna would have been a lot close to the Europa League. Avila is Osasuna’s top goalscorer with 9 goals, while Garcia added 8 goals. Roberto Torres added 7 assists. Avila and Martinez are injured, while Ibanez and Lato are still Questionable. Gallego is suspended because of the yellow cards. In their last LaLiga match against Eibar a few days ago, Osasuna has had 46% of ball possession, but solid 6 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and extremely low 57% of accurate passes. Despite not being particularly good in this game, Osasuna has won this match 0-2. Osasuna can certainly try to get to the Europa League, but with only 5 games left, some of which will be really tough for Osasuna, I don’t see it happening, but the more important part is that Osasuna will stay in LaLiga next season as well.

Getafe has been shaky since the restart and they have won only 1 of their last 6 games, alongside 3 draws and 2 losses. Getafe is in 6th place with 52 points, the last place that leads to the Europa League, but the pressure from behind is immense and Getafe will need to get their form to another level if they want to stay in this place. Of the 42 goals that Getafe has scored this season, Mata has scored 11, while Rodriguez scored 10 goals. Cucurella added 5 assists, while Jason and Suarez added 4 assists. Manojlovic is still injured, while Cabaco is questionable. In their last LaLiga game a few days ago against Real Madrid on the road, Getafe has had low 33% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and low 61% of the correct passes. Getafe has had a solid game on the defensive end, but they conceded a penalty in the 79th minute, and Getafe lost this match 1-0. The only thing that is keeping Getafe in the Europa League place is their defense, but without scored goals, Getafe can’t win any points, and I’m afraid that might cost them the Europa League.

Osasuna has had plenty of success against Getafe at home and they haven’t lost any of their last 7 home games against Getafe. Osasuna is in a better form than Getafe, but Getafe needs points to stay in the race for the Europa League. I’m not ready to bet against Osasuna and for that reason, I will pick a draw here.
