RCD Mallorca is welcoming Granada to Estadi de Son Moix in round 37 in Spanish LaLiga.

Mallorca is in 19th place in the standings with 32 points, and for them to get out of the relegation zone, Mallorca must win both of their last two games, while Leganes and Alaves must lose both of theirs. Mallorca hasn’t been good this season, and they have scored only 37 goals in 36 games, but their defense on the other hand was even worse. In their latest LaLiga game against Sevilla on the road, Mallorca has had only 37% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 5 corner kicks, and 76% of the correct passes. Mallorca has conceded one goal in each half, and they lost this match 2-0. With this loss, Mallorca’s chances to get out of the relegation zone are almost zero, but stranger things have happened in soccer. Ante Budimir is Mallorca’s top goalscorer with 12 goals, while Sevilla and Rodriguez both added 5 goals. Kubo and Sevilla both have 4 assists this season. There are no injuries in Mallorca, but Pedraza and Lumor are still questionable. Mallorca has had some good games as of late, but I’m afraid it’s too little, too late.

Granada has had a solid season and they are in 10th place in the standings with 50 points, only 4 points away from the relegation zone, but I don’t think Granada will get there this season. Overall, Granada was solid this season on both ends, and they have scored 46 goals so far while conceding only 44 goals in 36 games. Since the restart, Granada has lost only 3 games, alongside 2 wins, and 3 draws. Fernandez is Granada’s top goalscorer with only 8 goals, while Machis added 7 goals. Victor Diaz and Machis both added 5 assists this season. Martinez, Quini, Lozano, and Gonalons are all injured, while Vadillo and Vallejo are still questionable. Granada has been playing well as of late, and they have lost only 1 of their last 4 games. During this stretch, Granada has scored 8 goals, while conceding 6 goals. In their latest LaLiga game against Real Madrid at home, Granada has had 38% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 80% of the correct passes. Granada was losing 0-2 at half-time, but they have put some solid pressure on Real Madrid in the second half. Granada was able to score one goal in the 50th minute, and they had some good chances after that, but Granada wasn’t able to score another goal and they have lost this match 1-2. Granada has gotten really close to the Europa League, but I think this is the end of the road for them, but still, Granada has had a very successful season.

Mallorca has never beaten Granada at home, while Granada has not lost any of their last 6 games on the road. Granada still has the chance to get to the Europa League if they win their last two games, and they are the better team here, but Mallorca must also go for the win if they even want to think of staying in LaLiga. I will pick something on goals here.
