Valencia is welcoming Osasuna to Mestalla in round 30 of Spanish LaLiga.

Valencia is in a terrible form and they have won only 1 of their last 10 games, Champions League included. In the two games since the restart, Valencia has been playing bad soccer and has conceded 4 goals, while scoring only 1 goal. Valencia is close to the Europa League, in 8th place with 43 points, 39 scored goals, and 43 conceded goals, but most of those points were won in the first half of the season. On their latest LaLiga match against Real Madrid last week, Valencia was the worse team with only 37% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, and 82% of the correct passes. As soon as Real Madrid scored the first goal, Valencia fell apart and, in the end, lost this match 3-0. Gomez and Parejo have both scored 8 goals for Valencia this season, while Gameiro added 5 goals. Rodrigo Moreno added 7 assists, while Wass has 6 assists. Paulista, Piccini, and Garay are all injured, which is part of the problem for Valencia because all three of these players are the defenders that would be in the starting lineup if healthy. There is still enough time for Valencia to turn things around and get back on track, and I think they will because they are a good team with great players, and their Champions League run showed us that they can do better.

Osasuna is doing well this season and they are in 13th place in the standings with 35 points, far from the relegation zone. Osasuna didn’t start well once the season restarted and they conceded 6 goals in 2 games while scoring only 1. In their last match against Atletico Madrid at home, Osasuna was decent with 47% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, and 67% of the correct passes. They have created some chances, but Osasuna was terrible defensively and they have lost this game 0-5. Osasuna’s form has been more cold than hot before the break and they have won only 2 of their last 8 LaLiga games, but at least Osasuna is good enough to be outside the relegation zone. Avila has scored 9 goals for Osasuna so far, while Garcia and Torres each scored 6 goals. Torres also added 7 assists. Avila and Roncaglia are injured, while Ibanez and Barja are still questionable. Even though nothing is sure yet, Osasuna can relax a bit and play without pressure as they are far outside the relegation zone and will most likely stay in LaLiga next season as well.

When playing at home, Valencia has not lost to Osasuna ins their last 12 games. Osasuna’s away record this season is 3-6-5. Valencia hasn’t won any of their last 4 home games, but they are the better team in this matchup, and they will look to get their first win in a while.
