Levante is welcoming Sevilla to Ciudad de Valencia in round 31 in the Spanish LaLiga.
Levante has been hot and cold throughout the season, but they have been more cold than hot lately. In their last 8 games, Levante has won only 2 games while losing 5 of those 8 games. Levante was hosting Villarreal in their last LaLiga game, and they have had 44% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and a decent 84% of the correct passes. With only 1 scored goal in the first half, and 2 own goals scored, Levante has lost this match 1-5. Thanks to their solid start of the season, Levante is now in 9th place with 38 points, which is only 2 spots away from the Europa League, but they are 9 points away, and I just don’t see them reaching that this season. Overall, Levante is a decent team with 38 scored goals and 44 conceded goals, but their offense just hasn’t been good enough to reach the Europa League spot. Marti and Morales are the leading goalscorers for Levante with 11 goals each, while De Frutos added 7 assists. Campana, Vukcevic, Miramon, and Radoja are all injured, while Clerc is suspended because of the yellow cards. Levante can still go down a few spots, but it doesn’t really matter because they are far from the relegation zone, and their LaLiga spot is safe.
Sevilla is still going strong, and they are undefeated in their last 7 games, while Sevilla is now on a 3-game winning streak in LaLiga. During this 3-game streak, Sevilla has scored 7 goals while conceding 4 goals, but they have looked really well. With 64 points, 46 scored goals, and only 25 conceded goals, Sevilla is in 4th place, and they are still in the title hunt. In their last LaLiga game, Sevilla was playing against Sociedad on the road, and they were the better team with 52% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 3 corner kicks, 8 big chances created, and a decent 80% of the correct passes. Sevilla conceded a goal in the 5th minute, but with 2 goals in the 22nd and the 24th minute, Sevilla has turned the game around, and they have deservedly won this match 1-2. The good news for Sevilla is they don’t have any injuries or suspensions, and they are looking really well on both ends. En-Nesyri is the leading goalscorer for Sevilla with 16 goals, while Navas has 6 assists. Apart from getting knocked out of the Champions League, Sevilla is having a fantastic season, and they are one of the best teams overall this season in LaLiga, but they will need luck on their side if they want to get the title.
Levante has had some success against Sevilla at home, but Sevilla is in much better form right now, and they look unbeatable. Levante also has a lot of injuries, which is why I will side with Sevilla here.
