Torino is welcoming Napoli to Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in round 33 in the Italian Serie A.
Torino has been in great form lately, and they have lost only 1 of their last 6 games. Thanks to this streak, Torino has climbed out of the relegation zone, and they are now in 16th place with 31 points, 46 scored goals, and 54 conceded goals. Even though Torino is out of the relegation zone right now, the battle is not over for them because Benevento and Cagliari have the same number of points. In their last match against Bologna on the road, Torino has had 52% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and 74% of the correct passes. Torino conceded a goal in the 25th minute, but they kept pressuring Bologna, and they tied the score in the 58th minute, which was enough for a 1-1 win. Belotti has been in fantastic form for Torino with 12 goals and 6 assists, while Zaza added 6 goals. Sirigu is the only injured player for Torino, but a lot of their players are in danger of suspension if they concede another yellow card. At least 5 teams in Serie A can still get to the relegation zone or save themselves, but Torino is the best of those teams, and I think they will get lucky and stay in Serie A.
Napoli has also been in brilliant form, on both ends, and they are back in the Champions League race. Torino is now in 5th place with 63 points, which is only 3 points away from the Champions League spot. Napoli is the third-best offensive team in the league with 71 scored goals, while their defense was solid with 37 conceded goals. Insigne has scored 17 goals for Napoli so far this season, while Mertens, Lozano, and Politano each added 9 goals. Mertens and Zielinski each have 8 assists. Ghoulam and Ospina are both injured, while Manolas is suspended because of the yellow cards. Earlier this week, Napoli was hosting Lazio, and they have had a brilliant game even though they have had 48% of ball possession, but Napoli has had 8 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks, 2 big chances created, and a solid 88% of the correct passes. Napoli has scored 4 goals by the 65th minute, and everything was going their way, but Lazio almost got back with 2 goals in the second half. With another scored goal in the 80th minute, Napoli has won this match 5-2. Napoli has lost only 1 of their last 11 games, and they have been playing some fantastic soccer, but the Champions League competition is really tough in Serie A this season, and that will make Napoli’s job a lot harder.
I have a feeling this will be a fantastic match, and I think we will see a lot of goals. Torino has had some success against Napoli, but not a lot, but Torino is in good form and I think they might score a goal here. I’m taking the goals in this one.
